The photos included in the slideshow attached to this page were taken in mid-February 2011 at Columbiana Farm near Paris Kentucky. The farm assists their customers with foal, yearling, and mare care needs. At the time of our visit, there were approximately 75 horses, primarily thoroughbreds, being cared for by the farm management and staff. The slideshow also includes photos of Farm Manager Homer Rader's two personal teams which he can be seen driving in the photos of several of the other events on this site. On the day of our visit, the temperature was 15-20◦F and there had been a couple of inches of snow the prior day. Despite the cold weather, Homer was out in the tractor doing some winter seeding of grass seed in several of the pastures. As you will see in the photos, the cold weather didn't seem to bother the horses. The newborn foals seemed to really enjoy playing in the snow just like youngsters everywhere.
